14 Best Breakfasts In Las Vegas On & Off The Strip

best breakast restaurants in Las Vegas

I have tried many breakfast spots in Las Vegas, and some definitely stand out above the rest. For me, there’s a time and a place for both breakfast spots on the Las Vegas Strip and times when going off the Strip makes more sense. I’m going to share my recommendations for the best breakfast spots on and off the Strip.

I like to research on Yelp for quick overviews, Reddit for locals’ favorites, and TikTok to get quick visuals of the food and ambience before deciding what to try. Even though a lot of people go for this, I tend to avoid recommendations that are only for “a good deal.” Massive discounts for mediocre food is never okay to me. Good food is prioritized, and if it’s a deal too, that’s a bonus. Of course, if it’s overpriced compared to other local alternatives, I’ll let you know where to go instead.

Generally speaking, most breakfast spots on the Strip will be pricier, focus more on ambience, and charge a bit more for the food due to their central location. If you go a little bit off the Strip in any direction, even under 1 or 2 miles, you can find better food, in my opinion, at a lower cost. But of course, it’s less convenient and might cost you even more for those round-trip rideshares.

If you’re looking for more recommendations of food that isn’t breakfast, check out my other posts for the best restaurants ON the Las Vegas strip, and the best Las Vegas restaurants OFF the strip.

1. Bespoke Kitchen (Downtown/Spring Valley)

Bespoke Kitchen - breakfast sandwich
breakfast sandwich

I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast food at Bespoke Kitchen. Don’t let the slightly gimmicky social media photo-op interior fool you, because upon visiting, it felt more casual and authentic.

I ordered a breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage, scrambled eggs & cheese ($14.50), added avocado for a ridiculous $4.00, which came with a side of ultra crispy potatoes, and got their “fresh brew coffee” served black.

The brioche-style bun was fresh and fluffy, with a surprising addition of a mustardy aioli on the bun. Most places wouldn’t default to mustard since not everyone likes it, but I do! My scrambled eggs were made in a thin 1cm height and folded a few times to fit in the bun, and they were great–surprisingly not overcooked, and they were kinda fluffy like water, or some other liquid was added to it. $4 to add avocado is pricey for a $14.50 sandwich, but it was perfectly ripe.

The sandwich also came with salad and potatoes, which were excellent. It was a frisee salad, lightly coated with dressing, and a very nice and light side. The ultra crispy potatoes were again surprising for a shop like this. They remind me a lot of my smashed potatoes recipe I like to make–except they weren’t smashed. The potatoes are likely boiled, then deep-fried, because they are very browned, insanely crispy, and very well seasoned.

Bespoke Kitchen turned out to be delightful, with slightly elevated food in a very clean and friendly environment. The coffee is very standard diner coffee, though, not something I would order again. For specialty coffee, I have to head towards downtown Las Vegas for that (see on this post)!

Type of food: American breakfast, sandwiches, pastries, coffee
Price: $ ($20 pp)
What to order: Breakfast sandwich

2. Picanta Mexican Kitchen (Southeast)

Picanta - chilaquiles
chilaquiles divorciados w/ cochinita

Picanta Mexican Kitchen is a Mexican restaurant about 2 miles east of the Strip and well worth the commute. They’re known for their chilaquiles, and it’s the only thing I came to try. I had the chilaquiles divorciados (which have both red and green sauces), and added cochinita, which is a pulled pork marinated in achiote and citrus, giving it that bright red color.

It was a plate of very nicely balanced chilaquiles. The chips were perfectly slightly soggy. It was a good portion of pork, and despite it being super bright red, it wasn’t overpowering with spice or salt. It had a modest amount of chips, which I was fine with, given the free appetizer of chips and salsa I was snacking on until my order arrived.

The chilaquiles also came with potatoes with bell pepper and onion, and no rice, which was a little different than usual. Everything was very nicely portioned, and I polished off the plate.

I would definitely return for more chilaquiles and perhaps to try other menu items. My only reservation is that this location feels a little deserted–almost the entire plaza was empty except for this spot. However, the restaurant itself was well-kept, well-designed, clean, and definitely worth a return visit.

Type of food: Mexican
Price: $ ($25 pp)
What to order: chilaquiles divorciados, add protein
Address: 1386 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119

3. Morning News (Downtown/Spring Valley)

Morning News - The Hangover breakfast plate
The Hangover

Located a little bit higher north of the Strip on Sahara Ave, Morning News is great for a traditional American-style breakfast. You can get every possible combination of potatoes, eggs, waffles, French toast, and sides you can imagine, in a more modern-feeling and clean environment. I’d come back here again for breakfast, just not the coffee.

I ordered the Hangover Breakfast, which came with 3 over-medium eggs, thick-cut bacon (a bit too tough), sausage links (very rich and very good flavor), an English muffin (just standard), and a short stack of pancakes. I added avocado on the side to get some fiber, good fats, and something green into my breakfast.

Morning News - large wall logo

I also ordered a latte with oat milk, which was just ok. They mistakenly used cow milk instead of the oat I ordered, but it’s really just “good enough” coffee that’s better than an instant pod from a machine. I think there are some spots in the Las Vegas arts district that might fit that bill and come closer to what I brew at home.

The staff here is attentive, helpful, and efficient. Just about every table was packed here, and they stayed busy, without any wait in line when I visited around noon. My bill was $36 before tip, which is not cheap compared to many other breakfast spots. But adding avocado was $3.50, and the latte (which I’m not ordering again) was $6.00. You could definitely get enough food for $20-25 with one of their other plates, without adding extras.

4. Vesta Coffee Roasters (Downtown)

Vesta Coffee Roasters - two flat white coffees

This is, in my opinion, the best spot to get a cortado or flat white, either on or off the Las Vegas Strip. I prefer a medium or light roast coffee, with properly steamed foam (which usually accompanies nice latte art), and served in a ceramic or glass cup.

The Aria hotel used to serve medium-roast Lamill beans in its food court, but has since swapped out to super dark roast Lavazza beans. There is simply no place other than Vesta Coffee Roasters that I’ve found that checks all the required boxes for my drink. I tend to have better coffee downtown or off the Strip. But the roast may still be too dark, or the foam may not be quite right. I don’t even bother visiting places that serve solely in paper cups (for health reasons).

Vesta Coffee Roasters - breakfast sandwich with sausage patty

I also loved the Vesta Breakfast Sandwich–we had one with bacon and one with turkey sausage and enjoyed both! It comes with scrambled eggs, cheddar, rosemary maple, a very nice and toasted brioche bun, and your choice of bacon or sausage. It has a slightly spicy, homemade-tasting ketchup, which we liked a lot too. I’m surprised they have such an involved breakfast item as they do at a coffee shop, but I’m glad they do! The sandwich is a perfect accompaniment to the cortado or flat white that I always love here.

They also bake their own pastries, but they are just ok–fine to eat, but don’t come here just for the croissants. Is it worth a $30 rideshare round-trip just to get a good cortado at Vesta? In my opinion, yes. There is simply no other way to get this drink the way I like it on the Strip or closer to the Strip.

Vesta Coffee Roasters - interior / seating

Type of food: espresso, coffee, light breakfast
Price: $ ($5-20 pp)
What to order: flat white or cortado, Vesta breakfast sandwich
Address: 1114 S Casino Center Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89104

5. Siegel’s Bagelmania (North Strip)

Siege's Bagelmania - queue for the to-go line
to-go line

Siegel’s Bagelmania is right next to the Las Vegas convention center, so on event days, you may see hordes of convention goers packing in this joint, and for good reason. Siegel’s is split into two sections inside. On one half, you have a dining room with ample seating that has a full menu, with corned beef sandwiches, soups, burgers, bagels, salads, shakes, floats, cocktails, and more. We’ve dined in here before for the corned beef sandwich and matzo ball soup, and it was incredible.

On the other half of the store, it’s a to-go line only, focusing a tad more on breakfast with items like bagels, sandwiches, bagel sandwiches, coffee, and to-go soup. This is an excellent choice for a shorter wait (even though it can take ~20 minutes with a line almost out the door).

Siege's Bagelmania - New School bagelwich
New School bagelwich

For breakfast, we tried the New School bagelwich with sausage, cheddar, chive shmear, two eggs, and a hash brown cake. It was delicious. We initially thought the hash brown would be an overload of carbs on an already carb-heavy bagel sandwich, but it’s a welcome addition. And the bagel wasn’t overly carby. This was a nicely balanced breakfast sandwich, albeit a bit messy to eat with the cream cheese. Would definitely order this again.

Siege's Bagelmania - whitefish bagelwich
whitefish bagelwich

We also tried the whitefish salad classic sandwich, which is a smoked whitefish with mayo and seasoning. I didn’t like how super finely most of the fish was broken down, and it felt very mayo-rich overall. Ideally, it would have been mostly large flakes of fish with a lower amount of mayo. This sandwich was too fishy and too rich in mayo, in my opinion.

The cold brew coffee was much too dark in roast for me, even when diluted in a drink like this. I’d prefer to head downtown for Vesta Coffee Roasters or Bungalow for my morning brew.

Even though I didn’t like the coffee or the whitefish, the New School bagelwich was amazing, so I’d have no doubt returning for that and their pastrami sandwiches and matzo ball soup.

Type of food: deli, sandwiches
Price: $ ($15 pp)
What to order: New School bagelwich

6. Lou’s Diner (Downtown)

Lou's Diner - dining counter and coffee mugs

For an old-school, nostalgic feeling joint with great American classic diner food, Lou’s hits the spot. We ordered the 2 eggs with sausage and got toast with hash browns on the side. We also ordered a side of biscuit and gravy–classic diner fare. But it was unpretentious and delicious. Crispy hashbrowns stood out, though, since many restaurants don’t always get a nice and even crispy layer. Eggs, sausage, and biscuits were standard, but good. I love that there was a wall of mugs on display on the right wall of the restaurant–presumably mugs locals keep to use when they dine here.

They had three homemade jams to serve with the buttered toast, too, which was a nice addition. We had strawberry, blackberry, and pineapple jam, which was good with the toast and the crackers. Black coffee is very standard diner coffee here, so I just had a few sips and had to hit up another spot for coffee afterwards.

We pulled up in a rideshare, not expecting a line outside! We came unprepared. They said it would be a 45-minute wait, but we lucked out with bar seating and had menus in hand in about 20 minutes. Lou’s is a real cozy, neighborhood-diner-feeling type of joint. It’s just one big open square room with seats for about 8 people at the counter, and everyone has a view of the one main service counter, which peeks into the pass and kitchen in the back. I wouldn’t say it’s cheap food, but the quality is good. I wouldn’t want to wait 45 minutes and rideshare out of the way for this spot, so would recommend going during off days or off hours.

Price: $$ ($30 pp)

7. Peppermill (North Strip)

chicken fried steak at Peppermill
chicken fried steak and eggs

The Peppermill Restaurant & Fireside Lounge in Las Vegas is my favorite diner at all hours of the day, but especially for breakfast. It has everything you expect from a classic diner, with vintage-inspired decor, excellent staff, and an affordable menu with large portions. My favorite order is a chicken-fried steak plate that can easily feed two people (or one if you’re really hungry). The chicken is super tender with a crispy, well-seasoned crust and a rich, creamy gravy. They also offer an extensive diner-style menu full of sandwiches, steaks, burgers, and more for those who want other options.

Peppermill restaurant exterior

Not only is it enjoyable at breakfast, but on weekends, Peppermill Restaurant & Fireside Lounge is open 24/7, and on weekdays, they’re open past midnight! It’s a great place to go with a group of friends and family because it can accommodate large parties. We definitely recommend making reservations for large groups, but it’s fairly easy to pop in for a small table during rush.

Type of food: American diner & lounge
Price: $$ ($40 pp)
What to order: chicken-fried steak plate

8. Bungalow Coffee Co. (Downtown)

Bungalow Coffee Co. - interior

I ordered a pour-over coffee from Bungalow Coffee Co. ($7.00), since it’s a rarer offering that only specialty coffee shops offer, rather than the espresso drinks they also sell. It was poured by hand at the nice counter you could stand by and watch, by the very friendly staff. The shop had a nice and peaceful vibe here to slowly sip my hot pourover.

The pour-over was hand-brewed (as opposed to some automated machines) and smooth and flavorful. They served it in one large, thick, black coffee mug where one can’t tell where the coffee ends and the mug starts. This shop is in a newish-looking building with plenty of seats for working or studying if that’s what you’re looking for. The staff is very nice, and the shop is clean. I would come back to this shop to try my regular order, which is a hot cortado or flat white!

9. Earl of Sandwich (Multiple Locations)

Earl of Sandwich - holiday turkey w/ extra gravy on the side
Holiday Turkey w/ side of extra gravy

Earl of Sandwich is a fast-casual sandwich chain restaurant located in the center of the Strip in the Miracle Mile shops that serves some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. This chain has been around since 2004, originating in Florida, but the first Las Vegas location in Planet Hollywood was one of the main highlights of my first visit to Vegas when it first opened!

They have many sandwiches here I like but my was originally a seasonal item, the Holiday Turkey–filled with tender turkey, rich gravy, and tangy cranberry sauce (I always ask for extra sauce on the side to top off each bite). This hot sandwich was so popular during the holidays that it became a permanent addition.

Earl of Sandwich has opened two more locations in Las Vegas at The Palms Casino and Fashion Show Mall, in addition to two locations in Summerlin and Spring Valley. While the original Planet Hollywood location is open 24/7 (perfect for the post-club munchies), the other locations are open during the daytime. We’re truly lucky that we can eat Earl of Sandwich at Disneyland in Orange County, CA.

Type of food: sandwiches, American
Price: $ ($20 pp)
What to order: Holiday Turkey
Address: Planet Hollywood (Miracle Mile Shops), 3667 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109 OR The Palms Casino, 4321 W Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89103 OR Fashion Show Mall, 3200 S. Las Vegas Blvd. #1610, Las Vegas, NV 89109

10. Egghead (Aria Hotel)

Egghead - The Soho breakfast sandwich
crispy hash browns & The Soho

I love a simple breakfast menu, and Egghead delivers just that, along with some high-quality options. You choose your sandwich and a type of hash browns, and that’s it. Each egg sandwich comes with higher-quality brioche buns and eggs made fresh to order. By default, they cook them to an over-medium sunny-side, or just the right amount of moist, not dried-out, scrambled if you prefer. My favorite is The Midtown, which has a fried egg, crispy bacon, American cheese, sliced tomato, fried shallots, and spicy aioli.

Egghead - crispy hashbrowns

And the crispy hash browns, when fresh, are amazingly crispy on the outside and fluffy and warm on the inside. The cheesy hash brown has pecorino mixed into it, but it is unnecessary in my opinion. On very few occasions, they didn’t fry my hash browns enough, but overall, the quality and consistency at Egghead make it a solid choice for breakfast. You’ll find Egghead inside the Proper Eats food hall on the Promenade level inside Aria Resorts. There are sometimes longer lines during breakfast rush hour on weekends, but it beats out many other breakfast spots.

Type of food: egg sandwiches
Price: $ ($20 pp)
What to order: The Midtown, crispy hash brown
Address: ARIA Resort & Casino, Promenade Level (2nd floor), 3730 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 8915

11. Primrose (Park MGM Hotel)

Primrose - avocaodo toast
avocado toast

Primrose at Park MGM is a great place for a quick breakfast with many healthy options. The avocado toast was great if you could grab a quick seat without a wait. I also ordered a small ginger shot to go, which now I’m wondering if comes from the same kitchen where Aria processes their fresh juices and ginger/health shots, but it was good!

Primrose - classic breakfast platter
Classic Breakfast Platter

They also offer a classic breakfast platter where you can choose the type of eggs, protein, breakfast potatoes, and toast.

Primrose - waffle and berries
Waffle & Berries

Do not come here just for the coffee, though. The waitress admitted she didn’t really know how to work the espresso machine, gave me way too much milk after requesting a small amount, and the milk foam was out of control–too frothy. I also wouldn’t recommend the waffle and berries if you prefer crispy waffles, as I do. The berries were ripe; however, I don’t like a soggy and soft waffle.

Type of food: American, brunch, breakfast
Price: $$ ($40 pp)
What to order: avocado toast, classic breakfast platter
Address: Park MGM Hotel, 3770 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109

12. The Henry (Cosmopolitan Hotel)

The Henry - breakfast burrito

Located right at the street-facing entrance of The Cosmopolitan hotel, The Henry serves the same full breakfast menu (and more than just traditional breakfast foods) around the clock, and they have a full bar. You can get all your breakfast favorites here, like hash browns, steak and eggs, and a breakfast burrito, but in a tad more upscale environment than a typical diner.

They close from 2:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M., but the menu is fixed throughout. I usually get the short rib Benedict or the breakfast burrito. The steak and eggs are pretty good, too. Prices are slightly higher to match the restaurant’s service and ambiance. The Henry is unique for its very late operating hours, full bar serving breakfast, and prime location on the Strip. Since they are only open late night and early morning, I only visit late nights and usually don’t have to wait for seating.

Type of food: American breakfast & brunch
Price: $ ($25 pp)
What to order: steak & eggs, breakfast burrito
Address: 3708 Las Vegas Blvd S, Level 1, Las Vegas, NV 89109 (Inside The Cosmopolitan Hotel on Floor 1)

13. Salt & Ivy (Aria Hotel, not recommended)

Salt & Ivy - chilaquiles with steak
chilaquiles with steak

On busy weekends this place typically has a line 15-20+ people deep you can see right outside the restaurant. I’ve dined here a few times and it’s mediocre and a bit pricey. I would not really dine here if I had to walk from another hotel or pay for a ride to get here.

And even then there are better options at Aria’s food court for breakfast, like Egghead. Salt & Ivy only fills a very specific need in my mind: if you want breakfast food in a dining room situation and not a food court, are already staying at the Aria, are ok with paying $25-35 per person, are ok with waiting in line only to be fed just ‘okay’ food.

Salt & Ivy - avocado toast

They do have a full bar if you need that for breakfast. Having options for freshly pressed fruit or green juices is nice, which you can also get at the food court. The coffee here is nothing to write home about though.

Type of food: breakfast, juices, full bar
Price: $ ($25-35 pp)
Address: ARIA Resort & Casino, Promenade Level (2nd floor)
Yelp

14. Egg & I (Downtown, not recommended)

Egg & I - potatoes, omelette, muffin

I’m all for a casual diner, greasy spoon, local type of joint (see at least 3 recommendations above on this post), but Egg & I was not it. I had high hopes that this quirky diner would be a winner with its train set that ran along the ceiling around the entire restaurant.

They serve a lot of regular breakfast fare like variations of eggs, bacon, sausage, omelettes, potatoes, hash, benedicts, breakfast burritos and steaks. But I was not impressed with my experience here. It was out of the way from the strip, the eggs were a bit dry, the potatoes were just standard, and service was a bit inattentive and lacking.

And just to reiterate, I’m adding spots I don’t enjoy to give context to the breakfasts that I do like. Driving out of the way off the strip is okay, and a greasy spoon is okay, but this spot is not worth it. I had higher hopes with the high Yelp ratings, but this place did not come through.

Type of food: eggs, potatoes, steak
Price: $ ($20 pp)
Address: 4533 W Sahara Ave Ste 5, Las Vegas, NV 89102
